Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Cocktailpedia collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Cocktailpedia is a personal cocktail catalog; we collect only what we need to run your account and the app.

Information we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address. Your profile may also include a display name, username, date of birth, and an avatar image. As you use the app we store the cocktails you rate and mark as favorites.

Signing in with Google

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your basic profile information and email address with us. We use it only to create and identify your account; we do not access anything else in your Google account.

Where your information is stored

Account data, profile details, and images are stored with Supabase, which provides our authentication, database, and file storage. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Analytics and diagnostics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and performance, and we record error diagnostics to fix problems. These are used to operate and improve the app, not to build advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers above (Supabase, Vercel, and Google for sign-in) so they can provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.

Security

We rely on managed, industry-standard infrastructure and encrypted connections to protect your information. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard it.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Technical logs and error diagnostics are retained only for a limited period to keep the app secure and reliable, and are de-identified from your account when you delete it. You can update your profile, and change your email address, at any time.

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your profile. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile details, avatar, favorites, and ratings, and cannot be undone. Cocktails and recipes you contributed stay in the shared catalog: you can choose to keep credit for them under your display name, and if you don't, they are anonymized. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
