In today's video, I'm showing you how to make a brooklyn cocktail! Following the success of the manhattan and the bronx (two other "borough" cocktails), many people wanted to be able to claim the brooklyn as their own. In the early 20th century you saw multiple brooklyn recipes appearing in New York, but the recipe to survive today most closely resembles that seen in the Savoy Cocktail Book. Traditionally this drink is made with a French apéritif known as Amer Picon, but since that is an ingredient not available to me, I'll show you the substitution I make. If you're a manhattan drinker, you're going to enjoy this one.
